Afghanistan, Islamic Jihad and U.S. Survival

 There has been plenty of coverage of Biden’s Afghanistan debacle, but there is more to the story than his historic incompetence. Abandoning bases and just holding out at Kabul Airport was a major disaster, which helped the Afghan army’s departure before the marauding Taliban forces arrived. 

But Afghanistan errors goes back farther than that in the resurgence of Jihadism whose doctrine is 1400 years old. U.S. and European leadership’s policies has been delusional at best in dealing with the theocratic threat. Indeed, the Roman Catholic Church has proven historically that theocracy is bad government - for any nation and its people. It is why the Founders inserted in the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights the insistence that government should not claim or dictate to any religion as the policy of the state.


In the 1978-79 Iranian Revolution when President Carter withheld support of the Shah in hopes that a secular government would replace him. It was beyond foolish and demonstrated that our leadership did not understand Islam and its religious-civic aspirations. The revolution was inspired by religion and Ayatollah Khomeini, the Iranian Muslim religious leader who opposed the Shah’s modernization and secularization policies modeled after the Republic of Turkey founded by Atatürk

Khomeini’s influence was dismissed by our security agency despite his clear objective to reinstate Islamic theocracy, a political & social order based upon Islam and Sharia Law. His method of recreating the medieval dynasty was violence in the name of Jihad and martyrdom of followers willing to blow themselves up along with the “infidels”. Khomeini announced this in public for all to hear, but few to take it seriously - “Islam is a religion of blood for the infidels but a religion of guidance for other people. ... And its goal is the global triumph of Islam that we shall export our revolution to the whole world. Until the cry ‘There is no god but Allah’ resounds over the whole world, there will be jihad.” His words echoed verses taken from the Qur'an: “Fight those who do not believe in Allah.” or “O you who believe! Fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness.” or “Kill them wherever you find them.” 

Our so-called foreign policy “experts”, for the most part, have ignored their sincerity and scope of their purpose. 

Then on September 11, 2001, George H.W. Bush’s call for a “new world order” was answered by a dastardly attack on our nation courtesy of three hijacked aircraft that crashed in NYC, Pentagon, Washington, DC, and a field in Pennsylvania which allegedly was headed for the White House. George Bush Jr. responded to the Jihad act: “The United States must defend liberty and justice because these principles are right and true for all people everywhere ... America must stand firmly for the nonnegotiable demands of human dignity: the rule of law; limits on the absolute power of the state; free speech; freedom of worship; equal justice; respect for women; religious and ethnic tolerance; and respect for private property.” [National Strategy, 2002]

But where does it say anywhere in constitutional law or in official policies that We the People must tolerate an intolerant people and/or religion? Orthodox Islam IS intolerant and despite their prophet calling Jews and Christians as “People of the Book” recognizing only one God (Allah or Jehovah or Creator or any other name one chooses). 

In GW Bush’s second inaugural speech, he resurfaced President Wilson’s ideology - “The survival of liberty in our land increasingly depends on the success of liberty in other lands. The best hope for peace in our world is the expansion of freedom in all the world.” Yet, we ignored and allowed Islamic institutions in America like CAIR, to continue its subversive operations and while sending our troops to fight Jihad elsewhere, organizations and paramilitary camps were operating clandestine in our homeland. And not president since then has done anything about it. The same goes for the communists and socialist subversives.

The “politically correct” culture fueled by Democratic-Socialists has whitewashed the gist of Islam and its 1400 years of doctrine and practice. Ibn Khaldun, 14th century Muslim historian and philosopher wrote in Muqaddimah ... “In the Muslim community, the holy war is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the Muslim mission and the obligation to convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force.” This is the policy of the Taliban, al Qaeda, Hamas, the Islamic State, the mullahs of Iran, and others who kill and die for it and yet Westerners claim that there is no connection between Islam and Jihadist terrorism. 

President Clinton’s Secretary of State Madeleine Albright set the pattern of foreign policy concerning Islam by saying “Islam is a faith that honors consultation, cherishes peace, and has as one of its fundamental principles the inherent equality of all who embrace it.” We know now how inept she was as Secretary of State, as inept, incompetent, & naïve as the entire Biden Cabinet is today and is countered by 1400 years of Islamic history

With that and other factors, it is no wonder Afghanistan became a bust in the attempt to create a “liberal democracy” as described by GW Bush.

As Bruce Thornton stated: 

Understanding the truth of traditional Islam is not a condemnation of every one of the 1.6 billion Muslims. Millions and millions of them have no doubt managed to remain faithful without endorsing the sacralized violence of Islamic doctrine and practice. But we don’t know what proportion of the ummah, the global Muslim community, falls into that category. Our government’s primary responsibility is to protect our citizens’ security and interests, and that means our focus must remain on the Muslim traditionalists who are very clear about those beliefs that our leaders have been marginalizing as the a “hijacking” of the faith, or the “heresies” of a renegade minority. After 20 years of failure in Afghanistan, perhaps it’s time to listen to what the jihadists tell us about their faith-based hostility and ambitions. Maybe then we can avoid the misguided idealism that has endangered our security and interests, and condemned thousands of Muslim reformers to a gruesome fate. 

A growing number of America’s youth are demanding that our constitutional republic be replaced with socialism, a form of Karl Marx’s communism. The family unit is dissolving along with values, both moral and civic, because parental responsibility is not the norm and they kowtow to the education system that indoctrinated them that began when Marxists began infiltrating our schools and encouraging (sometimes paying) students to protest against the “establishment” who ended up being the establishment in the 70s.

These democratic-socialists live in climate-controlled homes, get their food from the market and store it on shelves and in their refrigerators. They enjoy entertainment and all types of gizmos thanks to technology produced by capitalism that they denounce. The medical field has been progressing vigorously and many of us think that “roughing it” is being without cable TV or Internet for a couple of hours. The same people who demand that women have the right to murder unborn children because “it’s their body” are the same people who want mandatory vaccinations and then state that it is inhumane to have a death penalty for murderers. The same people who cry out for female rights are silent when it comes to Sharia Law and its mandates for women. The same people who are against Voter ID and any other law to prevent election fraud are the same people who condone a special designation on driver’s license in order to be allowed to fly on a domestic airline and require an ID showing they were vaccinated for COVID. 

Don Feder wrote:

I wish I could take each of the Boobus Americanus and magically transport them to Havana, Caracas, Pyongyang, Tehran or Taliban-controlled Afghanistan to see how subjects live – a place where they kill you or torture you or mutilate you because they don’t like the way you dress or talk or pray. It’s called savagery or barbarism and it’s never been closer to toppling civilization. Civilization is more than hanging gardens or aqueducts (though plumbing helps). It’s the rule of law made by representative bodies, applied fairly. It’s private property. It’s rights. It’s modern dentistry and supersonic aircraft. Beijing and Tehran has been monitoring us and they see a golden opportunity in the likes of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and the other despots that Americans are voting for because they have been led to believe that what makes a successful civilization is “outdated” and what has been historically proven to cause misery for humanity is being welcomed.

Karl Marx knew what he was doing when he wrote the Communist Manifesto and advised that the state should be in control of education and the populace from “cradle to grave”. And in the case of the “Death Tax”, beyond the grave. Teachers and administrators are taking over what is the responsibility of parents and the state is rewriting the text books to match their agenda and ideology to the point that the People are only going to know what the state wants them to know.

Winston Churchill, in his statement concerning the evil of Nazism, stated:

“If we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science.”

The United States became a Republic by wise design by the Founders and it is the Constitution and its amendments that proves that the rule of law must prevail. Our intervention and involvement in international crisis is not because we are imperialistic or looking for colonies like the British Empire (and other European empires in history) once did, but to spread the idea of freedom and liberty for others around the world and rid it of the evil cancer that can spread and bring down our Republic. As Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and Ronald Reagan stated:
