2020 - 245th Anniversary U.S. Army - "Where the Stars & Stripes and the Eagle Fly"

This is the year that Army personnel will receive their custom measured new service uniform. The new uniform will be worn during June when the Army celebrates its birthday, June 14th commemorating the United States Army 245th anniversary - June 14, 1775 to June 14, 2020.

During this week, the U.S. Army celebrated the anniversary with a video entitled the Army Twilight Tattoo. I recommend watching this remarkable video. It not only celebrates anniversary of U.S. Army, but is an inspiration for recruitment.
On June 30th a National Hiring Days that will last until July 2nd. The goal is to recruit 10,000 soldiers in three days.
New Dress Uniform
This also hails the new Army uniform presented in the Uniform Regulation issued in March 2020. The new uniforms are now available at Army & Air Force Exchange Services. As of July, the new uniform will be issued to recruits. The Army has three uniforms, the one pictured above bringing back WW2 style, the combat uniform in two types of camouflage, and dress blues. I like the standard dress uniform that brings back classic style of what the Great Generation wore and especially like the style of the dress cap. The Garrison Cap is also optional.
