BIRTH NAME: Jenette Elise Goldstein

ALIENS - 1986

Born in Los Angeles, California, attending fine-arts schools. Jenette studied at London's Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art and at Circle in the Square Theater in New York City. Her family is Jewish (from Russia, Morocco, and Brazil).

While in London, performing in local theater productions, Jenette answered an audition request for American actors. She read for a tough Latino character named “Vasquez”, thinking it was for another play or a small film. James Cameron chose her to play the part for his 1986 film Aliens. Cameron was so pleased with her performance as Vasquez, he recast her in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) as well as a cameo role as the loving Irish mother in the epic film Titanic (1997).

Jenette also performed as a science officer in two episodes of Star Trek Generations (1994).

NEAR DARK - 1997

In 1997, Jenette was cast as the vampire “Diamondback” in the film Near Dark.

1988 – The Presidio and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

In 1989, she portrayed a good cop in Lethal Weapon 2.

Jenette also appeared in TV show episodes like L.A. Law (1994).

Jenette has continued working in theater throughout her career, appearing in plays in New York, London, and Los Angeles. She has even performed in classic theatre in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.

Currently, Jenette is writing for a show of her creation.

TRIVIA

• Was considered for the role as the Enterprise's Chief of Security, 'Tasha Yar' on Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), but instead portrayed a science officer for two episodes. The Tasha Yar role went to Denise Crosby.

• Jenette attended the same High School as Angelina Jolie, Michael Klesic, Nicolas Cage, Corbin Bernsen, Lenny Kravitz, David Schwimmer, Jonathan Silverman, and Richard Dreyfuss.

• Her first two movies, Aliens (1986) and Near Dark (1987), both starred Bill Paxton and Lance Henriksen.

• Jenette was awarded the 1987 Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Aliens (1986).

• Appeared in three movies directed by James Cameron: Aliens (1986), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) and Titanic (1997).

• She was one of two actors to appear in both Lethal Weapon 2 (1989) and Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). The other was Dean Norris.

• Jenette managed her own lingerie boutique called Jenette Bras in Los Angeles, California.
