Our
First Lady, Melania
Trump was born
in the Yugoslav Republic of Slovenia and worked in Milan and Paris as
a model until she moved to New York City in 1996. In 2001 she became
a permanent resident of the United States and married Donald
Trump in 2005.
She became a US citizen in 2006. She is the second Catholic First
Lady since Jacqueline Kennedy. Melania
is the second foreign-born woman to be a First Lady. The first was
Louisa Adams, wife of John Quincy Adams, who was born in London to a
father from Maryland and an English mother. She is among the tallest
of First Ladies at 5 feet 11 inches.
Melania
speaks fluently her native Slovene language as well as English. Other
languages she is familiar with are French, Italian, German, and
Serbo-Coatian. She gave birth to their son Barron William Trump in
New York City in March of 2006. She not only studied photography, but
also architecture of which she dropped out to become a model at 18.
As
First Lady she focuses upon programs for women and children and
especially advocates against “cyber-bullying”
and recent opioid
crisis.
Like
her husband, she has been the brunt of negative media reporting and
bias.
While as a model she was featured in almost a dozen fashion
magazines, they have shunned
her since becoming the 45th
First Lady. It is a shame because her eloquence, intelligence,
character and beauty is reminiscent of First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy.
In
a visit to children at Bambino
Gesu Hospital, she spoke Italian to the children patients
there while n Rome with her husband on a foreign trip in May of 2017.
Melania
Trump is involved with several charities that includes the Martha
Graham Dance Company, Boys Club
of New York, the American
Red Cross, and the Police
Athletic League.
The following video celebrates the grace and dignity of our First Lady ...
Melania
Trump considers herself an American and is proud to be so as she has
stated so often. She has supported, like her husband, military
personnel as well as law enforcement and First Responders that serve
communities across the nation. She also supports the Gold
Star families, which she attended a ceremony recently on June 4th
of 2018.
The following is a video of her Rose Garden speech concerning her program entitled "Be Best" ....
Melania
is an example that Theodore Roosevelt mentioned in a speech
about immigrants …
“There
is no room in this
country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to
hyphenated
Americans, I
do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best
Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans
born abroad. But a hyphenated
American is
not an American at all.”
It
is a pity that so many naturalized Americans are more loyal and
respect our Constitutional Republic that has made our country unique
among nations than so-called Americans born here who falsely believe
that Marxism should replace our republic. Melania, like Dinesh D'Souza, are immigrants who value our constitutional republic –
both knowing what the alternative is like.
This is one American who appreciates our First Lady and proud that she is who she is.
The following video is of the welcoming of President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump ceremony that includes the customary military review. The last President of the United States to participate in such a ceremony was President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan. Note that this CNN video shows the ceremony and begins with a political commentary by a British journalist that is interrupted in order to focus on the ceremony.
