Weapons of Choice: Hi-Point Home-Self Defense Carbine

Hi-Point Carbine, 9mm, foregrip, laser, quick-fire scope
Hi-Point was founded twenty years ago by Tom Deeb and his firearms have become popular because of their simplicity and reliability in a competitive world for self defense firearms that are more affordable than the standard tricked out AR-15 that has flooded the market.
Offered in .380ACP, 9mm, .40S&W, and .45ACP the Hi-Point carbine is rated at +P just like their handguns. All, of course are handgun ammunition, which makes for those who like carbines and pistol ammunition to be exchangeable; like the Thompson .45ACP carbine and M1911 combinations.
While the carbines are available in .45ACP, unlike the Thompson, it does not rise on the third shot as markedly; however better grouping is achieved with those chambered for 9mm. The optional forestock grip also helps in control in rapid firing.
NRA American Rifleman magazine provided a drawing specs courtesy of MKS Supply:

Hi-Point handguns also have received good ratings and have reasonable MSRPs.
