What the "Democrat Party" Has Become and What Citizens Can Do About It
While
the Republican
Party is not without corrupted members, like those GOP
politicians who “ride the fence” on issues and agenda, the
Democrat
Party has no doubt been so corrupted it must disband and start
fresh in order to perform an actual reformation. RINOs (Republican In
Name Only) like senators Jeff
Flake (AZ), Lindsey
Graham (SC), John
McCain (AZ), Marco
Rubio (FL) all members of the “Gang
of Eight” who pushed to pass an amnesty
bill for illegal invaders along with four Democrats are good
examples. Fortunately while the bill passed the Senate thanks to the
RINOs, it did not pass the House and expired at the end of the 113th
Congress. What was needed is for the federal government to
enforce immigration laws and stop the “anchor” law that invaders
took advantage of, stop the “catch and release” method, and
replace the useless fencing that separates Mexico from the United
States.
Our Supreme Court is Important
“The Federalists have retired into the Judiciary as a stronghold … and from that battery all the works of republicanism are to be beaten down and erased.” — Thomas Jefferson, 1803
Recent
headlines concerning the US Supreme Court and its justices should be
finally addressed. There are too many politicos who are justices –
concerned with “interpretation” of the Constitution instead of
its application to cases brought before the SCOTUS. While the
President as executor nominates such positions, the Senate's duty is
to confirm a nomination, and most importantly, do so without
prejudice. Hopefully looking for a judge that has a record of
constitutionalism. Unfortunately too many members of the Senate play
politics more than performing their required task in a professional
manner.
Members
of the judiciary at all levels should technically be “independent”
instead of affiliating with either Democrat or Republican parties.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
Time for barbecuing and music [WBDK, 96.7 FM] and when
the sun sets traditional fireworks – spending quality time with our
family and friends.
This year the Peninsula Symphonic Band will provide music, it they don't get rained out before dusk fireworks begin - which also may be cancelled or postponed because of thunderstorms.
Yet, we must not forget what this day represents,
especially today where our nation is on a threshold of a point where
there may be no return back to the roots that made our country great and unique.
Yet amidst these gloomy events and
circumstances there is hope, not based on socialism, but a
constitutional republic created by men who were brave
enough to stand upon principles and values that all humans should
have.
It was on July 4th 1826 that both Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died on same day.

Independence Day Beverage Tip -- Use a melon scooper and make watermelon balls and then freeze them. Add to a glass of lemonade or tea instead of ice cubes.
